Ubisoft Will Remake Assassin’s Creed Franchise

Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, has revealed that the company is currently working on multiple remakes of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. In an interview on the Ubisoft website, Guillemot expressed his excitement about revisiting and modernizing some of the older games in the series. While the exact number of remakes and the specific stories they will cover remain unknown, Guillemot assured players that there will be a variety of experiences to look forward to.

Guillemot emphasized the importance of maintaining experience variety within the Assassin’s Creed games. The goal is to release new titles more regularly, but not at the expense of offering the same experience every year. He mentioned upcoming games like Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which has already been announced and promises to be a very different game from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Guillemot believes that these surprises will captivate and delight players.

One potential remake that fans have been eagerly anticipating is Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, released in 2013. Reports suggest that Ubisoft Singapore has been heavily involved in the development of a reimagining of this beloved pirate-themed game. However, the company has not officially confirmed the existence of a remake for this particular title.

While Ubisoft has never released a full-on Assassin’s Creed remake in the past, there are numerous options to choose from within the series. The original Assassin’s Creed game debuted in 2007, followed by the popular Ezio trilogy, which includes Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. The company previously remastered Ezio’s three-arc story, showcasing their commitment to revisiting and revitalizing the franchise’s rich history.
